We are a friendly, welcoming dance school based in Ferring, West Sussex. We teach a wide range of classes and pride ourselves on creating a nurturing, supportive environment for every dancer.
At Hilary Thomas Dance, we understand the power of dance and performance to enhance lives.
Our aim is to inspire, educate, include and empower both children and adults. Our classes are fun, uplifting and technically focused, helping to build confident, creative, independent and disciplined dancers. We have optional exams. Watching our students grow in confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do — whether they dance with us for a few weeks or for a lifetime.
Our adult classes are friendly and inclusive, offering the right balance of challenge and enjoyment. We respect different abilities and acknowledge how our bodies change as we mature, ensuring everyone feels supported. Our beginner classes provide a nurturing, unhurried environment where dancers can build strong technical foundations with confidence. Advanced students are offered a supportive, focused and technically driven environment to keep them challenged. Adults have performance opportunities.

We strive to support healthy, happy lives through positive, progressive and holistic teaching, delivered with passion and integrity. Our goal is simple: every dancer should leave class feeling uplifted and empowered.
Performance plays an important role in our school. We regularly perform at Ferring Village Hall and the Windmill Theatre, Littlehampton, and we are excited to have launched a new Junior and Teen Performance Squad, entering our first competitions and festivals.
